The agribusiness sector has experienced considerable drive and growth in the state. More and more producers are beginning to glimpse new markets and business opportunities of wider scope.
To have more producers join landscape conservation and water-saving efforts through the use of new technological tools, The Department of Rural and Agribusiness Development (SEDRAE) and the Polytechnic University of Aguascalientes (UPA) have extended an invitation to people to participate in the first Productive Reconversion Specialization.
The program provides students with the knowledge needed to make a successful productive reconversion of traditional or seasonal crops and get higher profits by adding value to agricultural produce. This specialization includes study for the production of olive, peach, vine, walnut, lime, asparagus, maguey, berries, and essences. Furthermore, it was designed to meet the demand of the state’s agribusiness sector to achieve an increase in food exports.
Sessions will run Saturdays from September 26, 2020 to March 20, 2021. The program covers ten 10-hour modules. A little over $397 thousand from the Strategic Projects Program by SEDRAE will be allocated to offer thirty-five scholarships. Producers and people interested in the program will promote the productivity of agriculture in Aguascalientes through the tools they acquire.
The Polytechnic University of Aguascalientes will be the venue for the Productive Reconversion Specialization. Fee: $15,117.12.
